Step 4: Using a pourable measuring cup, or what you have on hand, fill each shot glass about half full with the jello.

Tips & Tricks
- Do not garnish the jello shots if you don’t plan on serving them right away. To make in advance, store in the fridge, covered, for up to 3 days, without garnishing. If garnished, do not store.
- If serving in glass shot glasses, including mini spoons is super handy since getting the jello out isn’t as easy as with plastic containers.
- The gold luster dust does not change the texture or flavor of the shot.
- Some of the luster dust may settle at the bottom of your mixing bowl. This is ok and common.
- The luster dust will be its most gorgeous when you’re stirring it into the jello, however, it won’t look as swirly once chilled, but it will still be very sparkly!
- You don’t have to use the frosting bag and frosting tip to garnish, that’s just how I got the final look you see in the photos. It makes for a gorgeous presentation and makes garnishing much quicker.
- Do not pour the second layer of jello if the liquid is too hot. It will melt the bottom layer and start mixing colors. It feels luke warm to your finger, then you’re safe to go ahead and pour the second layer.
- Do not add more alcohol or you chance your jello shots not setting up, which will make it impossible to make two separate, clean layers.
