Coffee Cake With Streusel Crumb Topping
Fill your kitchen with the smell of freshly baked Coffee Cake With Streusel Crumb Topping. This Coffee Cake has two layers with a cinnamon brown sugar filling and a yummy streusel topping.
- ⅔ cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup butter
Cinnamon Center filling
- ¾ cup light brown sugar
- ¼ cup All-purpose flour
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 ¼ cups All-purpose flour
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 2 ½ tsp baking powdered
- ¾ tsp salt
- ¾ cup butter room temperature
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup sour cream
In a small bowl mix ingredients for the streusel together and set to the side.
In another small bowl mix ingredients for the center filling and set to the side.
Now let’s make the cake. In a large mixing bowl mix together flour, cornstarch, baking powdered and salt. Set aside for now.
With a mixer creaming together butter with both sugars.
Add vanilla, & eggs and mix.
Then add the sour cream and mix.
Now add the flour and mix just until mixed together. Do not over mix.
Assemble The Cake
Line a 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper. Take half the thick batter and spread in the baking dish.
Sprinkle the cinnamon filling mixture all over.
Then take the rest of the cake batter and spread on top of the cinnamon filling.
Now take the streusel mixture and sprinkle on top of the cake.
Bake at 350 F for 50-55 minutes.
