Step 2

Fill a small bowl with Christmas sprinkles and gently press the rim of each shot glass into the sprinkles until it’s fully covered all the way around.

Take care to not twist the shot glass in the sprinkles, but press it, lift the shot glass, rotate slightly, and then press the uncovered portion of the rim into the sprinkles again.

Repeat this until it’s covered, but be sure to lift and rotate, don’t move it around while buried in the sprinkles or it actually removes the frosting.

Recipe Tips and Tricks

  • Here are a few tips and tricks to make your Christmas Sugar Cookie Shot even better:
  • Chill Your Glasses: For an extra cold and refreshing shot, chill your shot glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  • Use Fresh Icing: To ensure the sprinkles stick well, use fresh, slightly thickened icing rather than runny frosting.
  • Don’t Over-Shake: When mixing the ingredients in the shaker, be sure to shake gently to keep the drink smooth and prevent overfrosting.
  • Experiment with Flavors: Try flavored vodkas like caramel, chocolate, or gingerbread to switch up the flavor profile and add a unique twist.
  • Make Ahead: If you’re hosting a big event, prepare the liquid mixture ahead of time and store it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve. Just give it a quick shake before pouring into the glasses.
  • Add a Garnish: For an extra festive touch, garnish the top with a small piece of candy cane or a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Notes

● I suggest serving immediately upon mixing. If only storing for a short period (like hours), it should be fine as long as it’s covered and stored in the fridge. The dairy can act up when stored mixed with the alcohol too long.
● I  recommend already chilled ingredients, but if your liquids aren’t chilled, add a couple pieces of ice to the cocktail shaker before mixing.
● You can use other Christmas sprinkles as well. Easy for matching party themes, etc.
